  • When applicable, details showing when your document was Printed out (on paper) or Saved (a copy made to disk)
  • Details on whether or not it was forwarded (and where possible; to whom)

How to add tracking your PDF's and Documents

Tracking your Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files

Your PDF's will (can) automatically be tracked by simply attaching them to your tracked email:

  1. If not already registered, sign up for a ReadVerify Free trial
  2. Attach your PDF to an Email (from your regular email program/service) and send it with tracking. Full PDF tracking (including invisible tracking options) are only available for Premium yearly subscribers. For free trials, monthly and basic users, your recipients will be asked to allow the transfer in order for your PDF's to track.
You can turn your PDF tracking off at any time from your account settings under Member Utilities (when you log in)

Tracking your MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other OLE documents

What happens next?

As soon as your document or PDF is sent it will be listed in your ReadVerify Personal Tracking Page (this looks a bit like the 'sent' folder in your own email client). Then, when your document or PDF has been opened, we'll send you an email ReadNotification. You can also log in to your account at any time to view the status of your tracked documents (and emails) from your Personal Tracking Page.
